Interesting exhibitions
The Museum voor Vlakglas en Emaillekunst at Ravenstein (near Nijmegen)

For art-loving gardeners: Jan de Vlak exhibits his enamels in the Gardens of Demen (de Tuinen in Demen, near Ravenstein). Every last Sunday of the month you may buy a combination ticket for the Ravenstein Museum and the Gardens of Demen. www.detuinenindemen.nl and www.jandevalk.nl.

Brad Walker: new book
Brad Walker wrote to tell me that his book Contemporary Fused Glass will be released in May. It is a new and expanded edition of his earlier book Contemporary Warm Glass. This new edition is 30% larger, totally rewritten, and with new information on dozens of fusing and slumping techniques.
A book review will be written as soon as possible.
Studio Exhibition for (workshop) students
A special studio exhibition will be organized again later this year, in the first weekend of November.
There will be no entry fee. Works may be sold or they may be entered NFS. In case of a sale, there will not be any charges. If there are many participants, a maximum number of entries will be set.
This exhibition is open to anyone who has followed enamelling courses at my studio or who has participated in one of my workshops at the studio or on location.
After the Summer Holidays a number of studio get-togethers will be arranged for enamellers who would like to do some extra work for this exhibition.
Please let me know as early as possible if you wish to participate.
